In early 2009, the Texas based hard rock band Waking Alice began their journey into the world of rock music. Four hard working and highly talented musicians set forth with one basic goal…to raise the bar for what’s expected today in modern rock music.
Throughout 2009 and 2010, Waking Alice began to develop a devoted following and make a name for themselves while opening up for several national acts such as: The Bravery, Divine Heresy, Fair to Midland, Spoonfed Tribe, and the Vanished. The diverse range in their music made it easy for them to be accepted both in the alternative and heavy metal scenes. Waking Alice takes pride in their musicianship, writing, and performances. Heavy guitars, dueling riffs and solos, melodic vocals, and a driving rhythm section make up the formula that is Waking Alice.
In the summer of 2010, Waking Alice entered the studio with Grammy award winning producer Eric Delegard of Reeltime Audio in Denton, TX. The end product of these sessions would become Waking Alice’s first CD release “The Shaping”. To bring this project to the next level, the mastering duties were placed into the hands of one of the top mastering engineers in the country, Tom Baker of precision mastering in Hollywood, CA. “The Shaping” was released on November 19th, 2010.
